Ice Cream Social

The kids had an ice cream social as a kick off for the new school year. They look forward to it and who doesn't love giving their kids a bunch of ice cream before bed :) At least they run the whole time and burn off all the sugar.

As parents we are there to chat with each other and watch the children as they seek out the coolest thing in the whole park. Since the park was built long before recycled plastic was used to make play structures and padding for the ground it still has a merry go round type toy. This of course each year turns into the coolest thing to play on. Children race to this to see who will be in charge of holding on and running to get it spinning. Much to our delight we then create the outer barrier to help minimize the distant the children can travel off once maximum speed is achieved.
