Philip took the children out to the park to play on Thanksgiving so that I could take care of Jacob. (he was not feeling well) It was a very cold but sunny day. As soon as the clouds go away on a winter day the wind starts to blow. This makes it hard for the children because they think it will be warm since the sun is out and then as soon as they head out the door they start to shiver.
Ryan is growing so tall that he is able to play on some really fun things. When he arrived back home he had a bunch of stories to tell me about this adventure.
I am not sure what she is trying hard not to hear but this is the pose I get from her a lot at home. Maybe mommy is talking too much.
After the children came home from the park we got things underway for dinner. Mostly we had side dishes to prepare and bake. Dinner was great for us at least. Although the children tried everything on their plates it was not long before the cheese and crackers were taken out. We were so full that dessert had to wait until the next day.
We can not leave Jacob out of this entry. I love the look he is giving the camera. It is nice to be able to say that. No longer is his gaze just looking somewhere. Now at close to 5 months he is looking at us, his siblings, the things all around him and he is responding to all of it. It is great to see him smile back at those around him.
We feel very blessed to have all of them here. Each day is a mix of the same, a dash of the new and a pinch of the unusual. We would not trade it for anything. Hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
