Weekend was great but it was tough getting out of bed this morning. It has been busy the past few days. Last Wednesday my mom flew in from Phoenix. We stayed up late chatting as we do and the next morning we tried to get organized with the things we would need for our trip up to Seattle (Philip and I had a wedding to attend). Thursday went by very fast, Jacob did not even take one nap the whole day. Our other problem was the newly purchased refrig. was leaking on the ground and we needed it repaired but that would have to wait until we got back.
So Friday morning we wake up early and headed out around 9 am for Seattle. Along the way we stopped at Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma. It was a lot of fun and the scenery was great. We would love to return when we had more time. Off to Grandma June's we went. Once we got there we found out that my Aunt Mary was in the hospital in need of surgery on her gall bladder. Wow the excitement never seems to end. My mom drove my grandmother to the hospital were they found out that everything was fine and she could go home the next day.
Saturday came and we got up early to get on the road for the wedding at 10am. Grandma lives in the country and I was unsure how long it would take to get there so we left an hour and a half early. The ceremony was beautiful and we were looking forward to the reception at the Flight Museum. The airplanes were amazing and we had fun looking around and visiting with people we had not seen in awhile.
Sunday rolled around and as you guessed it we woke up early and tried to get things packed to head home. The catch was that if we could get home early enough then we would have time to relax before I took Philip to the Rush concert for his birthday. Well we got home around 3:45 pm not as early as we hoped. Once home we unloaded the car, made dinner, showed grandma how to play a video and washed Jacob before we headed out for the night. Now last I checked it was June and we thought that the weather would be wonderful for a semi-covered concert. Thankfully we did not have lawn seats but we were far enough back to get the breeze that was blowing in and it was cold. The sweatshirts were not warm enough and we left as ice cubes.
Today we have been trying to catch up but were delayed this morning by the refrig. repair we had forgotten about. Funny how when the phone rings you suddenly remember that you were suppose to do something.
