This is an old photo of Kate (2 yrs) but it illustrates how we were feeling this morning as we woke to go to Phoenix. I woke up at 3 am and then got her out of bed around 3:20. She is not a morning person at all and I was fearful that she would not want to come with me. This is a first for us and we are very excited. Kate and I are going to Phoenix for a girls only weekend. Her birthday is next weekend and we thought this would be a lot of fun. We will have to update this when we get back. Don't worry I won't let her drink too much root beer in the sun while she is sitting by the pool.
Have a great weekend everyone. Keep Philip in your thoughts. He will have the two boys for a boys only weekend. This will mark a first for him as well. The first time that he has watched Jacob for more than a few hours. We wish him all the best as he navigates through the next few days.
