Typical Afternoon?

I had to throw the first picture in first just for fun. It is still funny to me when he crawls toward you when he sees the camera. Too funny.

Now as for the rest of the pictures in the post, they follow the afternoon we had at the house. Ryan recently switched to the full day program at school (until 3pm). We made the change to get him ready for kindergarten next year. So the younger children are now napping for a shorter amount of time and as a result everyone is up at 3pm. You might be wondering how we spend the afternoon. Well first the children all have an afternoon snack, including Jacob. Then the children play, dad comes home, we have dinner and so forth. Today was a little different. I was trying to take care of something else (first mistake) when the children chose their snack. I did not see what Kate took out (second mistake) and was surprised when she decided to share it with her brother (third mistake). Take a look at the result. I do realize it could have been worse, she could have fed him more than one bite.

Ryan then decided to be the self appointed safety monitor and found the famous "Mr. Yuk" stickers. He then opened the cabinet that contains all the items that would require a Yuk sticker and placed them on as many things as he could. You see a Yuk sticker is for all those poisons that you do not want children to get into or mistake for apple juice. To answer the next question yes there is a latch on the cabinet and we now know that it only keeps children younger than 5 and with no curiosity out of it.

I'd never heard of Mr. Yuck until I met Erik...hmmm...that didn't come out quite like I meant it. What I mean is, Mr. Y seems to be a NW thing -- a smart NW thing! Way to go Ryan!
