First Week Home

It has been a busy first week home. The photo above is as we were leaving the hospital last Saturday. We arrived home in the afternoon and we happy to see that the house was quiet. We rested for a few minutes and then unpacked. From that point on it has been a blur of activity. Jacob eats and sleeps mostly, the hard part is when everything happens at the same time along with Ryan and Kate needing something as well.

My mom and dad were both here and it was great having a few extra sets of hands. Grandpa stayed until Tuesday and Grandma went home yesterday. Before she left we took a little trip to a park that has a water play area. We had 100 degree temps two days in a row so the park gave the children a chance to play in the water. Jacob was 6 days old and did really well for it being his first big outing.

The photo below is Jacob at one week old (yesterday). He is starting to space out his feedings during the night which is giving Philip and I a little more rest. Everyday his face changes however the reddish brown hair seems to be sticking around.

We will continue to update as we can and hope that everyone is doing well. Have a great weekend.

He looks amazing! I can't wait to see all of you soon. How lucky is Jake to have made into such a great family.
